“Better Off”

Good morning, friends!

I hope you all are having a splendid day! Thanks for coming back to my page!

Update on myself:

My back is healing slowly but surely. There is still pain ever now and then, somedays being worse than others. If I walk or sit down too much my back shoots a sharp pain up my spine as if to say “WARNING! WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH!”. I have to lay down a lot to get some relief and lately people have said that apparently all I do is relax…

Yeah… because I broke my back and need to lay down so I am not in pain…

It is nobody’s business. If I need to lay down, then I am going to. If I want to watch Netflix for a little bit because I am stressed, then I am going to.

I am learning, with time, to not worry about how others perceive me and what I do to take care of myself and my mental health. Some may think what I am doing is amazing and follow in my footsteps, others may think it’s weird. I have been trying to focus on the positive energy instead of the negative. Eliminating negative energy, whether it be people or an environment you are in or objects that bring on triggering thoughts can relieve so much stress off of your shoulders.

Sometimes we come across toxic people and long for them to stay in our lives because we see the good in them and not the bad. Recently, I have learned to find more love for myself and see that I don’t deserve any negativity or malicious treatment from anyone, whether it be family or friends. We can try to step away and revisit the idea of them in our lives, giving them a second chance, but you do NOT have to take the abuse. You do not have to feel miserable just to keep someone in your life when 75% of the time they make you feel inferior.

Consider this the next time you encounter a situation that is not very pleasant.

Today’s “Song of the Day” is “Better Off” by Ariana Grande. This song covers the issue of toxic relationships. I have been listening to it on a continuous loop for the past two days and it has honestly brought me so much peace. Knowing that I am not the only one going through situations like mine makes me feel like everything will work out. And it will. All struggles are temporary and for every problem, there is a solution.

Remember,

Just Keep Breathing. Xx.
